Interesting.

I hadn’t listened to this song or played it in a long time. And it is clear even back in 1985 (the year my oldest son was born), that I was being encouraged by something beyond my conscious awareness to “hang in there and keep moving forwards” towards my dreams and life purpose.

At the time, it seemed like my dream of being a musician was dead. Replaced by the necessity of making a living and supporting a family.

Like most of us I didn’t always listen to that “still small voice” that reassures us in our hour of darkest need. As the Course in Miracles says: “You do not know what is in your best interests”. Sometimes the hardest times are the ones where our character is built and tested, where the foundation of all future successes are being built.
